For the second year and what I want to make a tradition, we organized a raffle for a Paris Photographer Session for Valentine's Day. I say "we," because this year included in the prize was the amazing floral work of Marina from Fleur Désir. If you want to know more about her, check this post about her on the blog.
Now, I have the great pleasure to introduce you the cute lovebirds from Canada who won this year - Glenda and Rod. Their story is quite special: they have dated since they were 14 years old, so they have been together for 20 years and been married for 5. Also, to add to the cuteness of it all, this is their first photoshoot...ever.
Since it was the first time they properly stepped in front of a camera, they told me they wanted to do something more relaxed. I proposed getting a couple of Vélib bikes - the shared bicycle service in Paris - and I planned a route for their two hour session. I was over the moon when they said they liked the idea because I am a Vélib fanboy.
Here is the route we did - sunrise at Sacre Coeur, then a walk down towards the LoveWall, followed by a short Uber ride towards Saint Germain where we took out the bikes and rode along the Seine. Oh, and we wrapped the session at Saint Régis on Ile Saint Louis.
If you, reader, are planning to visit Paris in 2017, keep an eye out on my Instagram account for the raffle at the beginning of February. As I said, I want this to be IheartParis' tradition to give some love back on Valentine's Day.
