As a Paris photographer I'm used to getting requests for engagement sessions, surprise proposals, anniversaries, simply travel memories or family shoots. One of the new types of sessions that we only got to photograph in Paris for the first time is a Pre-Wedding session. What these usually are - they are a little longer version of an engagement shoot with beautiful evening gowns (often more than one) and sometimes also in the wedding attire. The idea is for the couple to have those photos later shown at their wedding as a part of the presentation either projected digitally or printed.
Now that there is a little context about what a Pre-Wedding session is, meet K and P. They came to me for such an engagement pre-wedding session last August and we planned this cute morning shoot together. Their wedding was in the late fall last year.
They had two outfits prepared for her, one long and one short in the same color palette. He had a nice khaki suit that was swapped out for a classic black suit without a tie for a more casual vibe. While we were planning out the session and locations, they had selected which outfit would fit the best to each of the chosen locations. The pastel long dress and khaki suit for the Eiffel Tower and Alexander 3 Bridge and the elegant short skirt and black suit for the Louvre and Palais Royal.
I have to say, my heart melted when at the end of their session they gifted me two boxes of chocolates traditional from their region. As they've been following our Instagram adventures they knew how much I love food, and sweets in particular ;)
