In the first week of January we got a chance to meet with Vera and Tobi for a day of walking around Paris and a quick and relaxing photoshoot. This day was very special for us in many ways. First of all, it's great to meet another Russian-foreign couple and see how they are dealing with the day to day cultural differences we are dealing with. Also, vera happens to be the editor of a widely popular Russian lifestyle magazine Veter - "Wind" in Russian, and check out their issues here -- that we really like and always follow, so to meet a girl that brought Kinfolk-style to Russian readers is a rare treat :) For the photos we wanted to create a true Parisian atmosphere without it being too touristy and over the top posed, so we chose to walk to Ile-Saint-Louis and a nearby cafe while snapping journalistic-style candid photos of the two and of course we had to do one of our signature cinemagrams. The whole shoot took 40 minutes, but with the two of us shooting at the same time with different lenses we managed to get an album full of close portraits and atmospheric wide angle shots. Here is Vera and Tobi's little Parisian afternoon!
